iTera Announces New Offerings Based on Echo2 High Availability

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (April 11, 2006) iTera Inc. has created two new offerings based on the core technology of the award-winning Echo2 High Availability software. These include Echo2 HA Enterprise Edition, which incorporates IBM’s switched disk (IASP) and cross-site mirroring capabilities (XSM), and Echo2 DR Edition, which provides economical DR protection with point-of-failure recovery.

“Because business resiliency is essential, we’re providing a clear roadmap to attain an appropriate, accessible level of availability—one which grows as customers grow,” says Dan NeVille, president of iTera Inc. “From a low cost DR/Replication entry point to enterprise functionality utilizing switched disk and XSM, we’re continuing to raise the bar.”

iTera’s complete HA and DR software suite includes:

• Echo2 HA Edition (the current Echo2 offering) provides full function logical replication for HA/CA and DR with point-of-failure recovery and complete switchover/failover capabilities.

• Echo2 HA Enterprise Edition is similar to Echo2 HA Editions with capabilities for switched disk (IASP) and cross site mirroring (XSM)

• Echo2 DR Edition provides DR with point-of-failure recovery.
